    • Name of Project: West Wildwood, NJ, Ipe Dock and Gangway

    • Description: 8-foot by 20 foot dock and 3’-6” by 21-foot gangway; both decked with grooved Ipe decking.

    • Challenge: To provide a hidden fastener system for the aluminum frame floating dock and gangway.

    • TimberStrong Solution: Ipe panels were manufactured in widths of 3’-6” wide and 8”-0” wide. The panels were then attached to the aluminum frames through the TimberStrong fastener, thus eliminating fastening through the deck surface. The nearly 250 square feet of decking was installed in 1.5 hours by 2 carpenters.
